Student Affairs Technology Services (SATS)
Student Affairs Technology Services or SATS is responsible to provide Information Technology management and support around principles of standardization, centralization, and enhancing resource efficiency. SATS is responsible for directing, managing, and supporting Student Affairs technology resources.
SATS consists of full-time staff as well as part time student staff that coordinate and manage computers, information systems, and technology initiatives for supported units within Student Affairs Division. We provide limited networking support, assist with database implementation, support digital media and communications, and provide application and software training.

- If your area has a critical technology emergency, downtime to a managed Student Affairs technology function that if not addressed immediately would result in operations being extremely difficult, if not impossible or will impact student and/or employee health or safety for a Student Affairs managed technology service, (e.g., cameras, card services/access control, Student Affairs servers, security issues with a Student Affairs managed application containing PII such as Maxient), Your call will be routed to an on-call SATS staff person, 24/7/365. Please note, an individual being locked-out of a building, or a space is not an on-call emergency. Such an individual should be routed to UMBPD dispatch (617.287.7780) for a key call and directed after the key call is complete to contact beaconcard@umb.edu to troubleshoot their access permission.
