Casel Walker has over twenty-five years of educational leadership experience as an educational leader in the Boston Public Schools. She served as the Executive Director of Boston’s School Leadership Institute and was responsible for the development and implementation of leadership development programs, the identification and mentoring of future leaders and the certification of leadership competencies. These programs had a particular focus on educational leadership related to accountability for improved student performance. As director, Ms. Walker participated in the Quality Measures Principal Preparation Self-Assessment Process and has facilitated this process with other school districts and University partners.
She also served as the Acting Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, the Cluster Six (6) Leader and a member of the Superintendent’s Executive Leadership Team. She was the principal of the Manning Elementary School for 10 years during which it became a Compass School in Massachusetts by exceeding student performance targets set by the state and was the third most requested school by families in the district.
Casel holds her M.ED in Educational Administration from Curry College and resides in Milton, Massachusetts. She continues to support the improvement of educational leadership and student performance.
