Susan Crandall serves as the Director of the Center for Social Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She spearheads an inclusive approach to investigating the intersection between employment and public policies in order to move the needle on economic mobility.
Previously, Dr. Crandall held senior leadership roles at the Keystone Research Center and Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath). She was appointed as a visiting scholar at the University of California San Diego. She has been recognized as one of Boston’s Emerging Leaders and was selected as a Marano Fellow for the Aspen Institute.
Dr. Crandall’s research has been widely published and featured in national and local media. She has served on numerous boards and is a frequently invited speaker at community and industry events.
