Serving Boston Students Since 1985
The Talented and Gifted (TAG) Latino Program and Project ALERTA have served the academic, personal, and social needs of Boston Public Schools students since 1985 and 1988, respectively.
The mission of TAG | ALERTA is to ensure that Boston Public School Latinx students and English Language Learners excel academically, socially, and personally, to improve their ability to succeed in elementary school, middle school, high school, and at the post-secondary levels.
Through the sponsorship of UMass Boston, BPS, and private foundations, The TAG | ALERTA program partners with several elementary, middle, and high schools to offer holistic services to Latinx and Multilingual students. Integrated into each of its components is intensive parental outreach and involvement.
